Assignment

The EU’s Data Act has entered into force and will start to apply on September 12, 2025. It aims to improve access to data in the EU market for individuals and businesses.

The new rules will encourage the use of data and ensure it is shared, stored and processed in full respect of European rules.

We need to take several actions to comply with the new legislation. As part of this, we will need to:

(1) flag all data parameters (in/out of scope of Data Act)

(2) provide product data and metadata to customers and any 3rd party service provider the customer is requesting

(3) sign new contracts with all customers who are sharing vehicle data with us, and

(4) ensure we are not using data for our own purposes without the customer consent.

A project is started working with a solution for this and now we have the need to appoint a project manager who can drive this project and ensure we are compliant by September 12.
