About the role:We are looking for an experienced CFD simulation engineer to join a team working on the development of traction battery systems for commercial vehicles. Your focus will be on thermal conditioning and performance optimization through advanced simulations.
Your profile:
Degree in mechanical engineering, technical physics, electrical engineering, energy engineering, or similar, with a focus on electromobility or mechatronics.
Solid experience in CFD calculations, especially in solving kinetic, thermal, and coupled problems.
Strong knowledge of thermodynamic process calculations.
Hands-on experience in 3D CFD using tools such as Ansa and Siemens Star CCM+.
Very good understanding of electrified powertrain components, especially traction battery system design.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); Swedish is an advantage.
Key tasks:
Perform and support CFD calculations focusing on thermal conditioning to enhance battery performance.
Optimize battery components based on test and simulation results to improve lifespan, efficiency, and performance.
Support validation of components through simulation.
Coordinate between simulation, testing, and design teams.
Communicate and present results effectively in various forums.
Correlate and compare simulation results with physical tests, providing actionable conclusions.
Meriting qualifications:
Knowledge of electrical systems or embedded systems in vehicles.
C/CE driver’s license.
Experience with agile working methods (e.g. VCT).
